Love your fellow bloggers

It's International BlogDay on Friday, August 31. This is your chance to show some love to your fellow blogTV friends.

BlogDay is a day dedicated to bloggers who should get to know other bloggers from all parts of the world. The idea is to discover a blogger who comes from a different culture or viewpoint than you. This is a day for giving and receiving… blogs.

So let's celebrate! Broadcast LIVE and tell your audience about your favorite blogTV broadcaster. Those who record a cool recommendation for a blogTVer he/she enjoys, will be featured on our homepage!

The official BlogDay.com site posted specific instructions on how they think BlogDay should be celebrated. Check that out here:

chitty chitty chat chat

You thought you chatting was fun before?
Well we've just launched our new chat interface that will rock your chat rooms. Our new and improved chat window will load much faster and is compatible with Vista. Cool features, such as 'set your status,' 'tabbed private messages,' and 'save the chat transcript,' were previously only available to IE users, but they are now available to all the Firefox folks. (I, being a Firefox-only girl, can appreciate this.)
Enjoy!

Hey, I know you!

Fame is possible on blogTV! DotURLCom proves that by telling us a story on her show, The Spotless Mind. As she's browsing around for videos in blockbuster searching for "The Waking Life" she hears those bitter sweet words, "Hey, I know you!"
Check it out:

Welcome to the Future of Entertainment

The show What Just Happened???, hosted by Guy Patton, successfully combines the entertainment quality of a great late night talk show with the interactive and more laid-back style of the blogging world, to create an entirely new kind of entertainment format (Think watching Conan O'Brian and being able to participate).

The show usually starts off with Guy's humorous take on current events and pop culture, but along with the other chat members the discussion tends to spiral off onto other, often rather bizarre topics, at which point Patton's extensive experience as a radio talk show host comes through clearly as he skillfully navigates between the user's comments, always maintaining a fun, welcoming and above all hilarious environment.

So get your lols ready and join the fun, but be warned: the show is highly addictive, and might cause regular TV shows to seem less enjoyable as you suddenly miss the ability to comment and get a live response (trust me, I tried, but to no avail).

The Show is on every weekday 12-2pm U.S. eastern time.
You can also check out recordings of previous shows here.

Politics fire up on blogTV

Political action is starting to spread on blogTV, from whacked out bush bashing babble (baller-man) to general concerns about human values and equality (kashfields), to formal progressive conferences (baratunde).

Our fellow blogTVer, baratunde has posted a series of broadcasted talks from the Campus Progress Conference.  One of the speakers, a recent Iraqi war veteran, came home from the war with a new agenda - to fight against the war; "I would rather sit in jail than kill those poor people."

With debates for the next American presidential election already firing up, it's more important than ever that these thoughts are not only heard but also documented. We at blogTV are proud to be your platform!

Here is baratunde's blog:

Here is kashfields' blog:
