Yes, we did read and take head of the comments you made about the Junior channel and now we believe you will be happy
with the changes we have made.
The updated Junior channel will now include:
1. Junior members will only be able to broadcast to other Junior members (plus 16 & 17 year olds)
2. Junior members will only be able to view other Junior members & anyone on their friends list (young or old). You will also be able to make new friend requests to
older members in case they are not already on your friends list.
3. Junior members will not have guest chat available
4. Junior members will not be able to co-host or be co-hosted
5. Junior members will not have private message options
6. Junior members will not be able to change their ages to put them into regular member status
7. Regular members will not be able to change their ages to put them into the Junior member status
8. Now moderation has the option to change your age for you
so that you do not have to lose your account! If you created a user with a fake, older age and were blocked for being
under age 16, just contact moderation@blogTV.com and ask them to change your age for you and put you onto the
junior channel.
**** As an added bonus, there will be a SPOTLIGHT BANNER section for the Junior channel as well as a special Junior
logo. These are just the first changes we are making in order to offer the Junior blogTV members the same rich
experience as everyone else.
Each of these features was put into place with the well being of the Junior members at heart and absolutely not done
in order to remove privileges from our younger friends. We hope that this new Junior channel will allow our Junior
members to safely enjoy their time on the internet and will allow our older members to mingle with more people in
their own peer group.
If you have any questions about this new Junior channel, please feel free to contact your community manager, Kara-Hannah.

No. This is a terrible idea, and you're going to lose all your featured members to stickam, ustream, or something like that.

This is a good idea (I think). If people wanna get pissy and leave because of this then fine, it's your loss. If you are under 18 you shouldn't even be watching a channel that broadcasts adult material, e.g., a lot of swearing or adult topics. I'm sure your parents wouldn't allow you to watch stuff like that on TV.
I can see something wrong with this though. People like charlestrippy have a large fan base with a lot of junior members and those people will be missing out. If trippy is worried about the people who can't watch then chances are he is going to go elsewhere until they change the new rules.
BlogTV, you will have to do something to stop people registering more than one user name from same computer. You'll probably gain a lot more users because these kids will make fake accounts to watch the adults.

I think you should actually change the whole number 2 rule. What's the point of not being able to view Regular members too? It's like Barney's a regular person, but can't be watched by little kids, who are usually the viewers, (Juniors).... Seriously, think about it. It's kinda good to be able to bring their privileges back, but these rules are limiting kids way too much.
And you're probably getting a significant amount of members ages 16+ right about now...

This is possibly the worst idea in blog tv history. I cant watch my fave shows anymore.

Big Step BlogTV, I want to see how it works out it sounds like a good idea. But It may have been taken a little over the edge.

Oh hello there blogtv.
Just when I thought you couldn't betray your loyalest users more with the PRO account feature, you've surpassed my wildest expectations!
Segregating the website into age groups...
Really blog? really?
Seeing as most of the really talented and entertaining broadcasters on this site are over the age of 15, you have successfully left the younger crowd with minimal options.
Disappointed, disappointed..
Oh.
And I'm over 15.
Explain to me why I can't even go into my own blog room..? As well as my friends shows..?
I hope I didn't get banned for regifting my PRO account.. >.>

Wtf? This is really... idk. Im not a junior member (thankfully), but I dont like the idea. Now people are going to lose members, because half the people who watch dfizzy, shanedawson, and all them, are kids. Jeesh. Even Dfizzy is mad. When he's mad, I'm mad
Posted by: Michaela | March 04, 2009 at 06:27 PM
how about this? keep the idea of us juniors broadcasting, but LET US WATCH THE OTHER PEOPLE!! fuck, now how do i watch charlestrippy and lorax and empty and all those other people?
Posted by: homerrulezzzz | March 04, 2009 at 06:41 PM
@bohosolo hear hear
Posted by: homerrulezzzz | March 04, 2009 at 06:42 PM
God you people are awful!!! I understand there are immature kids who need this type of crap but omg, what about the rest of us?? We cant even chat in the chat box? Are you guys for freakin real?? It's one thing to not allow us to broadcast, fine, understood. But damn, we cant chat now. Thanks for the concern but no thanks, it's a dog eat dog world, if you keep us sheltered from this crap then what's gonna happen?
Again, thanks for the concern it shows you guys are responsible, but really ,it probably took a lawsuit to get you guys to do this.Get rid of it now!!
How am I gonna watch ShaneDawson now?
Posted by: Kevin | March 04, 2009 at 06:47 PM
Wow
That's just stupid
so now i can't watch anybody who lets say is 2 years older then me or a year?

Altought i totaly understand the need for a JR channel, i do also think this is an economical suicide. A lot of people and broadcaster are going to join other social site, since the only thing that matters to them is the number of "hits" whatever they come from a 10yo brat or not.
Another thing: for all the guys whining about "i cant watch my favorite show anymore" ==> just create another damn account saying you'r born in 1920.... Is it that hard? and remember the first rule of the interwebz: "Never ever disclose your real personal infos on the interwebz!"
Posted by: MeowTV2 | March 04, 2009 at 07:14 PM
ok ... this is retarded ... every 13-15yr old person will just make a new account ... and the pedos will make a new one as well ... -____-
you only annoyed and lost lotsa ppl. instead of doing sumthing so ridiculously stupid u should ve employed more mods. thanks to this shit i lost lotsa friends.
thank you blogtv !
Posted by: justsaying | March 04, 2009 at 07:39 PM
I just wanted to say that you are going to lose a lot of broadcasters too. shane dawson is already using stickam, so he can broadcast to his younger fans too.
Posted by: dumbestideaever | March 04, 2009 at 07:54 PM
the only thing about this is that some ppl have already lied about their ages and are on blog as "16 and 17 and 18 and so on" and they are actually 12-15 yrs old. so there are a lot of ppl already that should be included in this and they aren't cause of lying about their age. also they will just make another account and lie about their age and use that one from now on.. i think blog needs to do something about that...
Posted by: not avaliable | March 04, 2009 at 08:28 PM
No this isnt Right i love watching shane dawson and dave days and dee fizzy and swift karate chop and and AHHH D: NOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Blogtv... did you forgot there are actually other similar sites? Boys are going to leave blogtv and broadcast on sites like smotri.com or justin.tv , where they have much more freedom and where they will get treated in a much more better and fair way. Peace out. Oh... and freedom...

I am not very happy about this blog t.v. you can say good-bye to about 15 people on here that I know. They all are extremely upset with Blog T.V. and I am sure there are many others as well. We are moving on to Stickam, until you get your mind straight, you wont expect us on here again...
Posted by: BNSF9192 | March 04, 2009 at 09:54 PM
This is so stupid. You're taking away the ability for us to see ANYBODY.

The idea of "junior accounts" is awesome blogtv!
The idea of junior accounts not allowed to watch other shows unless they are junior accounts, is not!
You will lose tons of loyal viewers. What you have done is this...everyone under 16 is only open to the other under 16 year olds on the site, so people like Buck, DFizzy, Binko, etc. will now lose all their young viewers. The young viewers who are not allowed to watch other shows will most likely open new accounts and the problem we started with will continue again.
My suggestion to you blogTV is this: keep the idea of "junior accounts" and the idea that only junior accounts can watch other juniors, but allow everyone to watch whatever show they want, regardless of age.
